BC|SAMPLE has been designed to provide solutions to the biggest challenges in laboratory sample management and tracking.

Sample information is often scattered and in inconvenient form. The information may also originate from mixed workflows.	With BC|SAMPLE the data is stored in one database. The data is always up-to-date and accessible to the whole team, also remotely. BC|SAMPLE allows multiple ways for importing data: from bulk files, other databases, one-by-one, or via specific sample profiles.
There are mysterious samples in the freezer.	BC|SAMPLE can keep track of sample placement in freezers and boxes. All of the sample history is traceable to the moment it was created in the database. Old history data can be imported and associated with the samples, if required.
Clinical and genetic study data is separated from the sample data, and handled by different people.	BC|SAMPLE is compatible with other BC products. Data can be created, transferred and modified automatically, when changes are made in another BC software, like BC|CLIN. Cross-referencing between databases is possible using the samples unique identifiers.
During patient recruitment process, many different sample types are typically collected. How to be sure that all samples were indeed included, or that the missing samples are noted?	BC|SAMPLE utilizes Sample Profiles, which allow for designing a recruitment or a collection profile for samples. Using these profiles helps in managing the different combinations of samples and sample types from different patients during the recruitment project.
