Key Account Executive, Healthcare, USA (West)

We are looking for a Healthcare Key Account Executive to join our sales team in the western region of the US.

Reporting to the EVP, Sales, this person will leverage their relationships and experience to drive software platform sales in the healthcare space. You will work alongside senior management and both internal and external partners to set our commercial strategy for the region. develop new business and manage key accounts. Revenue generation and continued strong growth will be the focus of this position.

 

Expectations and responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan and drive the development Key healthcare accounts in the region
  • Build long term commercial plans for agreed upon Key accounts
  • Maintain relationships with our strong external partners
  • Experience selling to researchers, physicians and C-Suite
  • Ability to research complex organizations, position solutions to address customer pain points/use cases, and drive tactical plan toward agreement closing
  • Experience selling software solutions
  • Experience in consultative selling methods, becoming the trusted advisor
  • Perform effective sales presentations
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual agreements.
  • Comfortable working on small (<$100k) and large (>$2m) deals
  • Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.​
  • Execute and deliver high-quality responses following our customer SOP to all current clients and RFPs.​
  • Prospect and develop key senior-level relationships within Life Science sector in order to effectively build and maintain key account list.​
  • Eager to continuously learn and develop relevant industry skills.

Knowledge, Experience, and Capabilities:

Critical knowledge acquired through academic study, business qualification or on-the-job experience:

  • Successful track record of individual sales in Healthcare IT-infrastructure/software, selling solutions (not one of licenses)
  • Proven history of excellent account management and client-advocacy skills
  • Expert knowledge of sales planning, prospecting and business development
  • Advanced strategic thinking, conceptualizing, selling, negotiating, and project management skills

Critical experience: the type and minimum length of relevant experience to effectively perform in the job:

  • Knowledge of bioinformatics, clinical and genetic data integration or related
  • 7-10 years overall experience in sales and/or business development.
  • Web based CRM experience (salesforce.com).

  • Disciplined, motivated and able to drive her/himself in daily sales tasks

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:

  • Ability to initiate and close multiple deals at once
  • First-rate enterprise selling, negotiation and deal-closing skills
  • Experience in the healthcare market and existing contacts within hospital systems across the Western U.S. highly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving often-changing environment.
  • High level of dedication expected.
