VP, Marketing

BC Platforms is seeking a dynamic leader to drive our Strategic Marketing and Partnership programs. This high visibility role will shape the long-term strategy of our company and will influence all aspects of our business. The VP will work in our Management Team to define and execute the company’s global growth strategies.

The VP will create and drive our marketing strategy and build partnerships to create long-term growth. The VP will be the nerve center in the company for market and competitive intelligence, serving as a key interface between functional leaders in R&D, services, and finance.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Create and drive our Strategic Marketing program
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of how BC Platforms solutions drive unique value for potential partners and customers
  • Use market research and business intelligence to develop a clear understanding of the market as well as key drivers and barriers affecting product adoption and prospective customer acquisition
  • Develop and execute Brand Strategy to ensure alignment to the goals of both internal and external constituents as well as building brand equity
  • Cultivate relationships with customers, including executive sponsors, senior executives, and other key influencers
  • Lead the research, development, and analysis of new market entry strategies and other tactical initiatives
  • Provide guidance and expertise to leadership on industry trends, opportunities and challenges
  • Contribute to the overall management of the company as member of the management team
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes for monitoring performance against plans and budgets
  • Participate in speaking engagements and thought leadership highlighting the value of industry/company collaborations

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience:

  • Experience in management consulting, business development, strategic marketing
  • Extensive commercial experience in senior roles within the life science industry strongly preferred
  • Prior experience executing strategic partnerships and negotiating with academic institutions and commercial entities. International experience a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the life science industry a plus
  • Prior experience in healthcare software business a plus
  • Prior success working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in having P&L responsibility
  • Experience in managerial roles
  • B.A degree in a relevant field, advanced degree a plus
