ASCO 2025: Advancing lung cancer research through Real-World Data and radiomics

Executive summary

Four BC Platforms–supported abstracts were presented at the 2025 ASCO Annual Meeting, showcasing how Real-World Data (RWD), radiomics, and secure data environments (SDEs) are transforming lung cancer research. These studies highlight advances in cohort design, progression-free survival modeling, and the integration of imaging and clinical data to accelerate precision oncology.

The four abstracts published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology are available in our resource center:

  • “Relevance and Specificity of the French CIAN LUNG Cohort for Clinical Research Analyses in Lung Cancer Using Real-World Data”
  • “Dynamic Longitudinal Patient Cohorts Using Hospital Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Data via Secure Data Environment (SDE) Technology to Generate Real-World Evidence (RWE)”
  • “Impact of Radiomic Features on Prediction of Progression-Free Survival in Patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Stage IV”
  • “Methodology for Estimation of Progression-Free Survival in Patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Using Real-World Data from a French Cohort”
