Are there different ways to partner with BC Platforms to share our data?
Yes. It depends on whether you ‘own’ the data and are the primary custodian, or if you are part of a data network or are a data aggregator yourself. In both instances, we apply the highest standards of security and data governance to ensure compliance with patient privacy and regulatory standards.

In some cases, using our tools and analytics (some available on a free or discounted basis) can help you identify improvements or opportunities that enhance your industry standing – sparking new patient growth opportunities, additional grant funding, and more.

What security standards does BC Platforms maintain?

We are ISO-ISO / IEC 27001 certified for Information Security Management, which demonstrates our rigorous security practices for product security, corporate security, data security, and application security. We are also certified under the ISO 13485:2016 standard for Quality Management, which demonstrates our ability to deliver products and related services that meet customer and regulatory requirements for medical device software.

We are certified by the European Health Data and Evidence Network (EHDEN) for our expertise in standardizing health data to the OMOP Common Data Model (OMOP data standardization, technical infrastructure deployment, and interoperability assurance). We conduct annual cybersecurity and vulnerability assessments for all our products, aligned with the OWASP Application Security Verification Standard (ASVS) Level 2 framework. The scope of our certification includes scope of certification annual penetration testing, secure SDLC, and vulnerability management.

Where would my data be stored?
We use a proprietary federated data architecture, which prioritizes data partner ownership and control of data while maintaining strict adherence to global and local data privacy and security regulations. Data integrated in the platform is subject to strict anonymization and consent for secondary use, with access meticulously controlled through both procedural protocols and software applications. Data can be accessed but is never physically shared – access is governed by local usage rights and predefined research scopes.

Can BC Platforms help process and manage imaging / radiology records?
Yes. BC Image automates processing workflows to harmonize and anonymize imaging data at scale. It provides the architecture, automation, and compliance frameworks that make imaging interoperable with clinical and molecular data and enable consistent, research-ready insights. BC Image combines on-premises modules with cloud capabilities for secure analytics and AI training – one integrated platform replaces the need for multiple tools.

How do I become a global data partner?
We offer several partnership tiers with increasing benefit levels. Based on your preference, we’ll set up a formal agreement that details the nature of our relationship – how data is managed and shared, partnership financials, access to BC Platforms’ products, technical support, domain experts, and more.

Can we partner with others, or would we partner with BC Platforms exclusively?
There is no need to work exclusively with us – you can also share your data with other organizations.
