Enabling and Improving Health Research

Hear how Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton, James Batchelor’s work is enabling and improving health research globally, what challenges exist managing and storing big data, implementing platforms and improving processes around research, and how the partnership with BC Platforms has enabled these initiatives at Southampton University.

Prof. Batchelor has been leading various projects, from building Data infrastructures and Trusted Research Environments to Digital Health strategies. He leads and directs the EDGE Programme, which is an extensive collaborative network of hospitals and research organisations working together to support and improve research systems in the UK, Belgium, South Africa, India, CA, AUS, and NZ, supporting over 150,000 research projects globally and managing over 7 million patients.
